Method for Moisturizing Dry Natural Hair
Step 1
LIQUID
Hair should be freshly washed and damp or spritzed with a combination of water, rosewater and aloe vera juice.
Moisturizing the hair requires moisture which means a water-based substance.
Step 2
OIL
Coat your damp hair with a light, not overly greasy oil with good absorption rate. Great choices are grape seed, argan, avocado, apricot kernel, broccoli seed, Meadow foam or carrot seed oils.
Step 3
CREAMY
Using a leave in helps in keeping the hair strands sealed and prepares your hair for the next stage of styling. Giving our hair that extra boost of needed moisture. Now, the type of leave used has an importance as well. Using a “moisturizing” leave in conditioner is key. There are plethora’s of leave in conditioners on the market. But not all of them provide the moisture our hair needs.
Step 4
SEALANT
To seal your hair cuticle, locking in the leave-in conditioner, water-based mixture and oils, coat hair with a heavier oil or butter like Shea butter or cocoa butter to lock in the moisture.
